How do I pay for Footagewise?
The Creator Beta release is at no cost. General available versions for the public and pricing are to be announced. No checkout is available yet. When paid sales begin, payment options and license terms will be shown before purchase.
What is the licensing model?
Footagewise is planned as a Mac-first license for individual creators. One-time purchase perpetual license is expected for major versions for individual creators. Studio Enterprise versions will have a similar model with support options. Final pricing, device limits, upgrade terms, and license details will be announced before paid release.
Are there software updates?
For individual creators minor updates for a purchased major version may be included, Major version upgrades and new products may require a paid upgrade or new purchase. Final terms will be shown before checkout.
Can I install on multiple Macs?
Standard licenses are designed for a single Mac. For multi-device usage, please contact our support team to discuss enterprise licensing and team plans.
Is my data secure?
Security is paramount. Footagewise is designed to work with FileVault-protected Macs and APFS-encrypted local storage. For strongest local protection, we recommend enabling FileVault and using APFS or APFS-encrypted storage for your active Footagewise library. Encrypted external drives must be unlocked and mounted before use.
