What is the licensing model?
Full ownership with zero recurring fees: Footagewise Eros Cortex™ follows a Mac-centric licensing structure built for independent editors. We intend to offer one-time perpetual licenses for every major release. For professional studios, enterprise options will include specialized support. Detailed specifics regarding final costs, seat limits, and upgrade paths will be fully disclosed prior to the software's official launch.
Are there software updates?
Yes: For individual creators minor updates for a purchased major version may be included, Major version upgrades and new products may require a paid upgrade or new purchase. Final terms will be shown before checkout.
Can I install on multiple Macs?
We have options: Standard licenses are designed for a single Mac. For multi-device usage, please contact our support team to discuss enterprise licensing and team plans.
Is my creative content secure?
Your creative content stays with you, not on our servers: Security is paramount. Footagewise Eros Cortex™ is designed to work with FileVault-protected Macs and APFS-encrypted local storage. For strongest local protection, we recommend enabling FileVault and using APFS or APFS-encrypted storage for your active Footagewise Eros Cortex™ Library. Encrypted external drives must be unlocked and mounted before use.
